I am the teacher in the Purple Room.  I graduated from Chico State in 2008 with my BA in Child Development and I have worked in the AS Child Development Lab since 2007.  I began as a student staff and also as a volunteer.  I became the teacher in the Purple Room during the spring 2009 semester, and it has given me great opportunities to grow as an individual and as a teacher.  I really enjoy working at a lab school and getting a chance to work with not only children and families, but also with students, professors and other individuals who are also interested in children and the way they learn and develop.  I am proud to be working in such a caring and safe environment that is so available to children and their families.  Every day is new and exciting and it brings its own challenges, which pushes me to learn and grow with the children.  I am looking forward to what the future holds, as well as being able continue my learning and growth in the field.
