Ember Funk, Head Teacher - Purple Room

I have been working with children in an early learning environment for over ten years. My first experience in a preschool setting was in Fort Bragg, California mainstreaming a child with special needs. I have since worked with children six weeks through five years. One of the highlights of my career was traveling with a group of children for three years through three classrooms. I embrace the close relationships that are developed with children and families in an early learning environment. I have worked in a "Clab" school setting for the majority of my career and I've found that it offers many unique opportunities. It is a pleasure to work with the future of early childhood educators, as well as being at the forefront of early childhood education trends and developments. I am currently the Head Teacher in the three to five year old classroom (Purple Room). I enjoy the language, creative, cognitive, and social skills that develop during these years. I have a passion and commitment for early learning and am delighted to be a part of the AS Child Development Lab.
