Iron Canyon Float Trip

Experience the serenity of the mighty Sacramento River from comfort of an inflatable kayak. The river's cool water is a refreshing contrast to the summer heat, and the scenic landscapes along the shore make for great picnic and swimming stops along the way. Iron Canyon is a Class I/II section of river that is great for anyone who wants to get out and explore new areas.

Deer Creek Falls Day Hike

Spend the day hiking along Deer Creek, taking in the wildlife and beauty of the eastern section of Lassen National Forest. This five mile hike along the water will take us to Deer Creek Falls, a wonderful cascading waterfall above a refreshing swimming hole and relaxing picnic area.

Lassen National Park Day Hike

Come with us to explore Lassen National Park! A five mile hike will take us to on tour of the park, including stops at Bumpass Hell, an active hydrothermal area, and on to Cold Boiling Lake for a picnic in the fresh mountain air and a swim in the brisk water. Spend a fun day hiking through the forest and experiencing the beauty of Mt. Lassen.

MULTI-DAY TRIPS

Trinity River Raft & Caving Combo

June 25-27, 2010 -OR- July 9-11, 2010
This trip will introduce you to some of the best adventure Northern California has to offer! You'll experience two days on the Trinity River, a true Nor-Cal gem! Snow melt makes the river run fast which adds to the excitement of rapids such as Z-Drop, The Slot, Pinball, and Hell Hole. We'll also have a day to explore limestone caves with underground pools, stalactites and stalagmites. This trip is for incoming Chico State students only (sorry, no guests). Cost includes leadership, transportation, meals, gear and camping equipment.

Evening Kayak at the Forebay Aquatic Center

Does the heat of Chico make you dream of cool breezes and refreshing water? Come join us for an evening of kayaking on the lake at the Forebay Aquatic Center. Enjoy a classic BBQ dinner and then watch the view of the sun slowly sink behind the horizon as you kayak on the lake. As the sound of the evening bird songs fade into the background, you can return to Chico refreshed. Trip departs Chico at 5:30, returns around 8:30

In the event that a Chico Bound trip must be canceled due to adverse weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
